Cesc Fabregas, a former Barcelona, Arsenal, and Chelsea midfielder, has turned professional at the age of 36.

The statement was conveyed by Fabregas through a post on the @cesc4official Twitter account.
"It is with great sadness that the time has come for me to hang up my boots," Fabregas said.
About Cesc Fabregas
Fabregas began his career with Barcelona's Academy Team before moving to Arsenal and making his debut at senior level in 2003.
His name began to be known with the Gunners, even appointed captain in 2008. Unfortunately, he failed to win a major trophy during his eight seasons at the London club.

He then returned to Barcelona in 2011, one year after winning the World Cup with Spain. With the Blaugrana, he won six trophies including La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Club World Cup.
Fabregas moved to Chelsea in 2014 and had a successful career there winning four titles, including two Premier League trophies.
He also spent three seasons with Monaco (2019-2022), and most recently at Serie B side Como for a year before retiring.
"From my first day at Barca, Arsenal, Barca again, Chelsea, Monaco, and Como, I will cherish them all.
Meanwhile, at the international level, Fabregas has won everything. He belongs to the golden generation of the Spanish national team that won the World Cup (2010) and two European Cup titles (2008 and 2012).
"From lifting the World Cup to the Euros to winning everything in England and Spain and almost every European trophy, it's been a journey I'll never forget.
In the statement, Fabregas also revealed the next steps he is taking after retirement. He has now taken up the coaching position of Team B Como and is excited to start his coaching career soon.
"This charming football team won my heart from the first minute and came to me at the right time in my career. I will greet him with both hands," he said
