The complicated situation experienced by PSG in handling the future of the megastar, Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe plans not to activate the one-year contract extension option at PSG

The French bomber still has one year left on his contract or until 2024 at PSG.

However, Mbappe will reportedly not activate the option of a one-year contract extension at PSG until 2025.

This condition makes Kylian Mbappe potentially leave PSG on a free transfer next season.

Les Parisiens do not intend to release Mbappe for free. Moreover, they brought Mbappe from AS Monaco in 2017 for 180 million euros (around Rp 2.9 trillion).

PSG also gave an ultimatum to Mbappe. Mbappe's options are to leave this summer or extend his contract with Les Parisiens.

Now, RMC Sport journalist Daniel Riolo reports Mbappe will stay at PSG.

The former AS Monaco player is ready to accept the consequences of being benched throughout the next season. "I announced something to you tonight. Mbappe will remain at PSG next season," Riolo told L'After Foot, a program on RMC Sport

"Even if they (PSG leaders) say they will put Mbappe on the bench, he stays at PSG."

"Mbappe stayed at PSG. He is ready to accept this situation," he said regarding Mbappe's condition at PSG.

Daniel Riolo has defended Mbappe's initial decision to repeatedly insist he will not leave PSG in the summer transfer window.

Mbappe's original plan was to spend his contract with PSG until 2024, then leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

"Mbappe doesn't want to leave this year. He has said it a thousand times that he will not leave this year," Riolo said.

PSG's new coach, Luis Enrique, is said to be in a complicated situation. The fanfare surrounding Mbappe could potentially push Enrique to a decision to suggest the megastar.

"We told Luis Enrique that he had Mbappe in his squad, but couldn't play him," Riolo said.

RMC Sport reports that Mbappe has made a secret deal with Real Madrid.

Mbappe is said to be already planning to move to Real Madrid without a transfer fee in 2024.

"An agreement made directly with (Madrid) President Florentino Perez," RMC Sport wrote.
