The Last Voyage of the Demeter is a supernatural horror film directed by Andre Ovredal and written by Bragi F. Schut Jr. with Zak Olkewicz, adapted from The Captain's Log, a chapter of Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula.
Andre Ovredal is known as a Norwegian film director and screenwriter born in 19743. Some of his most famous films are Trollhunter, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.

Corey Antonio Hawkins is an American actor who played in the TV series The Walking Dead (2015–2016), and played Dr. Dre in the 2015 film Straight Outta Compton which was a Screen Actors Guild Award nominee.
Hawkins also starred in the series 24: Legacy (2017), as well as Kong: Skull Island. In 2018, she appeared in Spike Lee's biographical comedy, BlacKkKlansman, which earned her a nomination for a Screen Actors Guild Award.
Story Synopsis "The Last Voyage of the Demeter"
The film follows part of Dracula's legendary novel, as the vampire sails from Transylvania to London, aboard the merchant ship Demeter. This makes the crew on the ship try to survive in the middle of the sea with the threat of death from Dracula.
The story begins with the journey of Demeter's ship that sails the ocean to deliver 50 wooden crates whose owners are unknown. This makes strange and terrible events happen to the crew of the ship, with the appearance of a terrible figure every night falls.
When Demeter arrived off the coast of England, the ship was left with charred wrecks and almost no trace of the crew remained.
"The Last Voyage of the Demeter" Predicted to Break the American Box Office
The film has the potential to break into the top five of the American box office rankings this weekend. Judging from the interest during the pre-sale, the results are not much different from the films Beast and The Invitation. The strongest interest is the male audience under 35 years old. The film, which is included in the R (Restricted) rating category, is estimated to be able to attract fans of classic horror films.
The film will compete with Barbie and Oppenheimer further strengthening its grip on the American market, and is expected to stay at the box office in the first and second ranks. The currently ranked second, The Meg 2: The Trench, is expected to drop to fourth behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
