Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Apologize, For Letter of Support for Danny Masterson
The actors' couple, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, apologized for the letter of support for Danny Masterson, via a video on Instagram. They previously wrote a letter in support of Danny Masterson ahead of his conviction in the Los Angeles rape case.

In a video uploaded Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, Ashton and Mila said they never intended to downplay the testimony of the victims. Or traumatize them in any way with a letter they handed to Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo.

Ashton Kutcher explained that a few months ago, Danny Masterson's family contacted them and asked if they would write a character letter on behalf of the actor. The letter was to help the judge consider Danny Masterson's sentence.
"It is intended that the judge can read it out and not trivialize the testimony of the victims or re-traumatize them in any way," Athon said. "We would never want to do that. And we apologize if that happened."

At the end of the video, Mila Kunis expressed her support for rape victims. "Our hearts go out to everyone who has been a victim of sexual assault, sexual harassment or rape."
Letter to Danny Masterson
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were among 50 people who sent a letter to the judge to consider Danny Masterson's sentencing. The pair are sticking to their friendship with Danny Masterson. They called him a role model and an amazing character.
In addition to Ashton and Mila, some of the actors who wrote to the judge were actors Debra Jo Rupp, Kurtwood Smith, Giovanni Ribisi, and William Baldwin, whose wife, Chynna Phillips, is the sister of Danny Masterson's wife, Bijou Phillips.

Danny Masterson's Punishment
Danny Masterson was eventually sentenced to 30 years in prison. The That 70 Show star is accused of raping three women at his Hollywood Hills home between 2001 and 2003.
