Only adding one point, both Leverkusen and Bayern remain in first and second place respectively in the Bundesliga standings with 10 points.

The course of the match "Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich"

Bayern, who appeared aggressive from kickoff, immediately took the lead in the seventh minute. It was Harry Kane who put his name on the scoreboard after matching Leroy Sane's corner ball that had hit the player.

After taking the lead, Bayern put more pressure on Leverkusen and did not allow him to develop the game. Leverkusen's defense had to struggle to block Bayern's attack so that Lukas Hradecky's goal was not conceded again.

Leverkusen finally equalized the score in the 24th minute. Getting a free shot in front of the penalty area, Alejandro Grimaldo punted hard and headed into the top left corner of Sven Ulreich's goal.

The goal made Leverkusen more excited. One chance came to the visitors when Victor Boniface escaped Bayern's control and tried to break the net from a tight angle but failed.

A minute later Boniface had a chance to put Leverkusen ahead. He tried to fire a shot at the far post but it was still wide. Soon Boniface had scored a goal but it was disallowed.

It was Bayern's turn to create another chance in the 35th minute through Mueller's header that Hradecky could parry. The pukeball was picked up by Serge Gnabry but hit the post.

Hradecky struggled to save his goal with five minutes left in the first half when he denied Sane's strike and Leon Goretzka's header. Until halftime, the score of 1-1 held.

Entering in the second half, Leverkusen tried to take the initiative in attack. In the 51st minute, Boniface made a solo run until he approached the penalty area and saw Ulreich go forward, the ball was shot directly although it was still wide.

The match in this round runs at a slower tempo so it rarely creates golden opportunities. Only in the 78th minute, Leverkusen had a great chance to take the lead through Wirtz who stayed opposite Hradecky.

Unfortunately, Wirtz's kick hit the post and failed to produce a goal. Two minutes later Ulreich thwarted Boniface's shot from close range on a counterattack.

Attacking preoccupation made Leverkusen's goal even conceded in the 86th minute. Mathijs Tel got the ball down the left side and passed an opposing player before delivering a pull pass, which Goretzka flicked into an empty net.

Two minutes later, Boniface again wasted the lead when receiving Alejandro Grimaldo's pull pass. Standing free, Grimaldo instead shot the ball into the stands.

The game looked set to end for Bayern before Alphonse Davies' foul on Jonas Hofmann resulted in a penalty for the visitors. The referee had time to look at VAR first before Exequiel Palacios beat Ulreich to make it 2-2.

Bayern had scored again through Dayot Upamecano late in injury time, but VAR disallowed it for offside. There was no winner when Bayern vs. Leverkusen was over.
