The devastating flooding caused by Hurricane Daniel caused the collapse of two dams in Derna simultaneously. As a result, more than 33 million cubic meters of water broke down and hit the city.

This incident happened last weekend. As quoted from Al Arabiya, the most severe damage occurred in Derna, a city controlled by extremists.
The head of Libya's eastern government, Ossama Hamad, said the Derna region was designated a disaster zone. One indication is that there are very many casualties that have fallen.
Even Ahmed al-Mosmari, Libya's military spokesman in the east, said the death toll had reached 2,000. Then it is likely that 5,000-6,000 people were reported missing.
