Wreckage of Downed F-35 Stealth Jet Has Been Found
The wreckage of a downed F-35 stealth jet has been recovered, by the United States Military that crashed in South Carolina on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, a day after appealing for the public's help to find it.
The pilot of the F-35B Lightning II jet managed to exit the plane safely on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 17, 2023, when the stealth jet plane had a problem.

Joint Base Charleston on Sunday asked residents via social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to "call Base Defense Operations Center" with any information to assist search teams.
A day later, search teams found the wreckage.

"Personnel from Joint Bases Charleston and @MCASBeaufortSC, in close coordination with local authorities, have located the wreckage site in Williamsburg County. The debris was found two hours northeast of JB Charleston," the base said in X, thanking local officials for their help.
The main advantages of this fighter jet, according to the manufacturer Lockheed Martin is that it is almost impossible to track with radar and is equipped with advanced sensors and other equipment. As a result, when it falls the ruins are also difficult to find with radar.
