Almost! England almost scored a second goal in the 59th minute. Saka received a pass from Kane on the right, then moved to the middle and fired a fierce shot that just hit the crossbar.
A dead-ball scheme triggered a crisis in the 85th minute. Henderson's rebound pass from the right went to Harry Maguire at the far post, but the ball failed to reach him and instead ended up in a foul.
The score did not change until the final whistle. With this result, England is still firmly at the top of Group C with 13 points from five games, six points ahead of Ukraine who have played four times.
While Italy, who have only played twice, have only collected three points in third position, ahead of North Macedonia. Malta are at the bottom of the table as they have not picked up any points from four matches.
