Tropical Americas: Theming Models Arrive and the End of an Era for DINOSAUR
The transformation of DinoLand U.S.A. into the Tropical Americas has reached a tangible new milestone. Today, new theming models were spotted on-site at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. These physical mock-ups are used by Walt Disney Imagineering to test how various textures, colors, and materials react to the intense Florida sun and humidity.

The models provide a first look at the architectural finishes for Pueblo Esperanza, the central town square of the new land. Observers noted intricate plasterwork patterns and "weathered" wood finishes that will eventually adorn the Encanto-themed attraction and the new Indiana Jones experience.
Demolition Begins Inside DINOSAUR
While the exterior of the DINOSAUR attraction building still stands, the interior is currently being dismantled. Recent reports and aerial footage indicate that the demolition of the DINOSAUR interior has officially begun. Crews have started removing the show elements, audio-animatronics (including the beloved but temperamental Carnotaurus), and track components to make way for the upcoming Indiana Jones adventure.
- Status of Aladar: The Iguanodon statue in front of the attraction has already been removed.
- Ride System: While the Indiana Jones attraction will utilize the same Enhanced Motion Vehicle (EMV) technology, the interior layout is being completely gutted to allow for new scene configurations and updated tech.
A Sweet Addition: Black Tap’s CrazyShake Menu Revealed
Moving over to Disney Springs, the former Sprinkles Cupcakes location is getting a high-energy makeover. Today, Disney officially revealed the menu for the CrazyShake by Black Tap window, set to open for a limited 90-day engagement starting March 2, 2026.
The Signature Lineup
The menu features the "over-the-top" milkshakes that made Black Tap a viral sensation. Highlights include:
Classic shakes (Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry) will also be available for $12.00, providing a slightly more modest option for those not looking to tackle a "beast" of a dessert.
Hallmark Wraps Filming for "Holiday Ever After"
In a historic first, Hallmark Channel has officially wrapped filming on its first-ever original movie shot entirely at Walt Disney World. Titled Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True, the production concluded today after nearly three months of shooting.
A Star-Studded Festive Cast
The film stars Hallmark veteran Lacey Chabert and Travis Van Winkle. The plot follows Lindsey (Chabert), who finds herself in a "rivals-to-romance" arc after discovering her hotel room at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is right next to a disastrous former date.
- Filming Locations: The production utilized Magic Kingdom (specifically the Cinderella Castle wishing well), Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the new Island Tower at the Polynesian.
- Release Date: Fans can expect the premiere during the 2026 "Countdown to Christmas" event.
Disney Store Online: Fighting the "Bot" Wars
The Disney Store issued a significant update today regarding online Pin Drops. For years, collectors have voiced frustration over "bots" and resellers snatching up limited-edition pins within seconds.
Disney’s new "Fair Environment" initiative includes:
- Account-Based Requirements: Users must be logged into a verified Disney account to even see the "Add to Cart" button for new releases.
- Enhanced Monitoring: New backend software is being deployed to detect and block non-human traffic during the 8:00 AM PST Tuesday drops.
- Queue Stability: While some users still report "ghost" queues, Disney has promised additional server capacity to handle the surge of the "Pin-Tastic Tuesday" community.
