Lumajang Regent Thoriqul Haq implemented a disaster emergency response status for 14 days after the rain lava flood on Friday (7/7/2023).

In addition to focusing on repairing damaged infrastructure, the emergency response status also made tourist attractions in areas affected by rain lava floods temporarily closed.

The disaster emergency response status applies in disaster-affected areas, namely Pronojiwo, Candipuro, Pasrujambe, and Tempursari Districts. As for the sub-district, Pronojiwo is one of the areas with the most tourist attractions.

However, the 14-day disaster emergency response status was finally completed on Thursday (20/7/2023).

According to the Head of the Promotion Section of the Lumajang Tourism and Culture Office, "It is informed, because from the leadership there is no extension of time-related to emergency response, tomorrow (tourist attractions) can be opened for activities again."
