ASDP data noted that the number of passengers crossing the Jepara-Karimunjawa (pp) crossing in 2022 was 54,725 people and 10,371 vehicles. Meanwhile, in the January - July 2023 period, there were 37,845 people and 6,957 vehicles.

In the video, a woman can be seen angry with the port staff, because she did not get a ferry ticket. The incident occurred on Friday (18/8/2023) at the Siginjai Ferry sales counter, bound for Jepara-Karimunjawa.
The commotion began when a woman named Sri had been at the ticket counter since 01.00 WIB. However, when the ticket purchase line opened, Sri did not get tickets, because they were sold out.
Only a few people have bought it. Sri along with several other tourists had asked the officer about the ticket quota, but the officer did not know this.
The incident made several prospective passengers disappointed. This incident also led to allegations of scalper practices in Jepara-Karimunjawa ferry ticket sales, resulting in tourists running out of tickets. These tourists have been queuing since early morning and buyers at the counter are only a few people.
