The government through the Ministry of Environment and Forestry will implement an online ticketing system applied to all mountains in Indonesia. This online system is for climbing entrance tickets throughout the mountains in Indonesia.

The application online tickets are currently valid for several climbs, including climbing in Mount Rinjani National Park, Mount Merbabu National Park, and Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park.

Taking information from Kompas.com, in the future, Director of Environmental Services Utilization of Conservation Areas of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Nandang Prihadi said, this system will apply to all mountains without exception.

In the online entrance ticket model, there will be payment features, climber quota, climbing days, climbing doors, and the health of prospective climbers.

The application of online tickets is carried out to limit and ensure the number of visitors, and climbers who enter according to the set quota.

Checking climbers will be stricter

Regarding the inspection before climbing, that checking will be carried out more strictly. Local mountaineering managers can require the use of guides in the future.

The Chairman of the Indonesian Mountain Tour Guide Association (APGI) Rahman Muklis said that his party had prepared thousands of certified mountain guides. It is highly recommended that tourists use certified mountain guides. There are already 2,000 nationally certified mountain guides spread across 21 provinces.
